I’m sure everyone is aware of the ongoing issues Amazon has had with it’s slaves ahem sorry… “employees”, but I just wanted to add that I got a text from my boss today at 2pm wanting me to come in tomorrow morning at 6am. This is just after they had a serious discussion with us as a group about how we need to give management at least a 2 week notice for time off requests. I thought it was interesting that as an employee, I get less than a half day’s notice to pick up a shift, but I am required to let management know 2 weeks in advance that I need a day off. Seems like the scales are way out of balance to me, but what do I know? I’m supposed to just shut up and do my job, while being observed by a 360° camera equipped with AI software to catch me doing anything they deem to be wrong.
