Shutting down for labour day

I work 60 hrs a week at my corporate run restaurants as the gm. My store is woefully understaffed and corporate won’t let me hire past $11hr because of “tips”. Since I’ve started around two months ago my district manager has been absolutely zero help and at best has gotten me a handful of days off so I don’t work 7 days a week merely 6. I don’t wanna do this anymore our situation won’t get any better because of corporate and their ridiculous hiring policy. I can barely get people to show up to interviews let alone hired. I’m tired so very tired should I just tell all my employees not to show up tomorrow so me and my crew can have a day off? I understand this would lead to my firing probably but I’d rather be fired than resign so at least I could collect unemployment. This…

This bakery is in a major city that has a fairly large cost of living I’ve saved a few months of rent anyways. I know I could find another restaurant job quickly but I’m hoping to find something remote. So Reddit what should I do?
