I started at this company 3 years ago and finally found a place i liked and was getting paid what i deserve. After 6 months covid came and I lost it all. After being laid off for 8 months i was able to transfer to a different store doing something else for half the pay but it was close to home and it's not like any opportunities were popping up at the time. The whole reason i stayed at the company was for a certain job and i got passed up on it (i do take some blame because i had some lates) but they gave it to a kid that was 2 years out of school vs. my 10 years of experience. I have to watch him everyday while I'm really struggling to keep my ship afloat and put food on the table for my family, I work a thankless job and get treated like dirt and get shit on all the time. I applied to transfer to get my old job back so we'll see. If i get passed up on that, I'm walking out. I'd rather lose everything and redecorate the interior of my house with the inside of my head than deal with this anymore.
