I'm in Australia, and I keep hearing moaning on the news about a supposed skilled worker shortage. Apparently certain professions are under represented in the unemployment line or something. Thing is, most employers won't contemplate remote work arrangements. There are plenty of people ready and able to do the work, they just can't afford to live in our excessively overpriced cities, or the cost of travelling 1+ hours each way to work. It's all BS.
