I worked at fast food since I was 17. I turned 26 in October. I was doing open to close for weeks except my one day off. Then kept calling me to come in on my day off but I never answered my phone. When I went back in on my next shift, they wrote me up for “not being a team player and leaving the store short handed. For being insubordinate.” I finished my shift that day because I actually liked the night manager and quit when I got home. I left a note on the desk saying that was my last day. Months later I find out the GM had been taking 10 hours a week off my paycheck because overtime wasn’t allowed but they expected me to work overtime. Now his store is going downhill and he’s under investigation after I emailed DOL. Fuck fast food
