So I went shopping at Michaels today

I was having a nice little chat with the cashier about hair dye (my hair is green) and she mentioned how she hasn't really been able to afford to splurge on high quality dye. Then she mentioned that she's been waiting for payday so that she could afford to buy an outfit she has been looking at on Shein. For those who don't know, Shein sells incredibly cheap products, typically low quality but very inexpensive. How little are these people getting paid? I really wish I had thought to ask her. I worked for the company from 2004-2007 and at the time I was making less than $9 an hour; I have a feeling that it's still very similar. If they're still paying that rate 15 years later, it's a miracle anybody can afford to even work there. You should be able to afford clothes when you need them. You…

You should be able to afford clothes when you need them. You should be able to splurge on a bottle of hair dye now and then. You shouldn't have to work so hard and get so little in exchange.
