Antiwork

So let me get this straight. We live in a super capitalistic society. Where everybody is obsessed with hustling and making money and working super hard. Where prices rise at the drop of a hat. But we’re supposed to work for the pleasure of working, and not ask for more money?

How did this sort of psychological dissonance/gaslighting becomes so accepted? It's so weird. Most societies nowadays are AS CAPITALISTIC AS IT GETS. Super obsessed with money, all about grinding hard. Ok, let it be this way. But then, why is it so super taboo to want more money for your services? It's like pulling teeth, it's like you've cast a curse on them if you decide that maybe you should sell your services for more money (meanwhile, they raised their prices as often as possible). I feel like the very concept of employment has been corrupted. Instead of it being a way to provide security and stability for the employee, it's now just a way to abuse him, squeeze as much out as possible for as little pay as possible.
