So my first ever interview is next week! Any tips for that and first job advice?

Hey everyone! I'm 18, and just applied for a part-time position at Sephora. It's been less than 24 hours and they already asked me to schedule an interview for next week! I expected it to take longer. If I succeed at my interview this will be my first ever job! Since I've never done this before, I wanted some advice on how to handle myself. On my application, I wrote “negotiable” in the desired hourly wage boxes. I figured it would be bad to scare them away or sell myself short here, but at the interview what should I say? I've seen online a wage of around $15 /hr for this position and that would be GREAT, but I know this can be a really awkward thing to talk about at interviews. Also, like I said– I have no prior job experience, just some spare volunteer work. So how can…

So how can I make myself sound good? In high school I was an honors student, an excellent writer and debater. I received a few awards (all on my resume, which I will bring) that look nice, but again, this is all academic. I'm very organized, independent and willing to learn but when I think of work skills, I think more… technical stuff like knowing how to use Excel.

This is a sales job, where I will have to help customers while also pushing products. I'm sure they'll give me training, but any tips for selling stuff? I was dual enrolled in high school and took a course on persuasion but this is still all new to me.

Also! The store itself is still in construction, so it will be a while before it opens. This kind of works, because I am only able to start working by August anyway. However, I will be back at college by September– meaning I will not be able to work until about 3, excluding weekends. When I'm scheduling shifts I will have to keep in mind school (the priority) and my home life (homework, family duties and relationships). I said I'd be available 3 to 4 days a week, but does that sound reasonable? Will they be understanding of my concerns?

Anyway, any advice or words of wisdom would be so helpful. Tips on just about any aspect of work or interviewing too! Thanks in advance, everyone.
