I applied to an HVAC position with a company a few months back and was promised no one there makes more than $25 for my position as a service technician. Come to find out at least 8-9 guys already that I've gotten to know well make over $32. The first “cOrE vAlUe” of the company is “Always tell the truth no matter what”
Tomorrow I have a meeting with my Boss after fighting off the flu that worked into my lungs giving me full blown bronchitis and leaving me out of work for 2 weeks. I'm excited at the prospect of a write up so I can inform them of my job offer for $36 with a 5k signing bonus with a competitor. I'll likely take the other job anyways, just want to rub it in their faces before I peace out. Will update you guys on how it goes.
Tldr: talk about your wages and always keep looking. Do what's best for you, and if you get written up for being sick, something you have no control over, fuck them over as hard as possible.
