Hi guys,
Im in a situation where we provide IT support for over 7000 end-users wiith 14 IT specialists.
We have 6+3 First/Second line engineers (3 are moving to third line) and 5 third liners. That makes the ratio over 500:1
Myself, as a third line engineer combine my tech job with beeing the lead of the first line. So I hardly have time to do my tech job, it kinda sets me on hold
And another 3rd line colleague does SL
I am looking for other support and system engineers and wonder what their ratio is, because I have the feeling we soo are understaffed (and underpaid..) And because of this, a few of us are getting exhausted and fed up, problem is that management doesnt realise it.ive been thinking of leaving my Team and exploring new worlds as a consultant, but im afraid I will never meet a team like this one ever again.
