I am wondering what to do. I have a terminal degree and an MBA and even a degree for management in the government/non-profit sector. What people do not understand is that credentials mean nothing. Employers want explicit experience. I try to apply for everything under the sun so long as I feel I meet most requirements for the role. It isn't me. Many roles get hundreds of applicants. They are ultra picky with who they bring on board.
With so much time on my hands, I want to start a venture. I want to do something meaningful that will make me money. I don't know where to start and always at risk of being destitute or worse.
I've tried creating freelance profiles but never got good customers or any for that matter. I would create content but again, very competitive. I want to create something, or DO something, and with all of my skills and training I should in theory be smart enough to do my own thing. It isn't as simple as everyone makes it own to be.
I feel lost. I'm trying to get a day job but no one wants me. I want to try antiwork but need something that doesn't reuire a lot fo upfront money investment. Time I can invest, I just don't have money. I hear success stories all of the time but I can't relate. Something must not be clicking with me. I don't expect millions of dollars overnight but it would be relaly ncie to start a venture that progressively become lucrative the more I put into it if that makes sense.
