I (58F) have worked fulltime since I was 17. I've helped turn 5 great kids into 5 great adults and I carried the lion's share of the financial burden. I would do it again and have no regrets but consequently I have nothing for retirement. I don't own anything and now I'm wondering how I'm gonna make it. I'll never have my own home again unless I hit Lotto. I have a job I can tolerate but I can't afford rent. Fortunately my job is 100% travel and I usually live in a hotel but I don't want to stay on the road forever. I have no health coverage and no safety net. How the hell did I get here?
