Recently the huge corporation that owns the retail chain I work for has been conducting exit interviews (that's a new thing) to determine why they're hemorrhaging employees. The top two reasons in order were: Pay and the Uniform.
Pay by a huge margin. Uniform a very distant second.
So to “fix” it, they… decided we could wear any solid color T-Shirt we wanted, and jeans.
I (Mid-50's straight white single-gender male) bought a bunch of loud/obnoxiously colored shirts. Two days ago I wore Hi-Liter Yellow. Yesterday I wore neon pink. Today I wore safety-vest orange. Next time I work It'll be a slightly different yellow.
I'm still waiting for the neon green shirt to be in stock.
