Some news site is “rebranding” promotions as a reason that “quiet quitting” actually hurts workers more than businesses.

If companies actually reliably internally promoted (including tangible pay raises and real benefits to go along with the increased value we provide) then we wouldn't be intentionally barely fulfilling the job description you hired us for in the first place. This is disgusting propaganda that's meant to create murky water around a clear issue: loyalty given is loyalty received.
