Somebody quit on their first day and that wants to come back a week later

We hired a contractor at the IT consulting firm I work at. The gentleman we hired was to be placed at a location about 2 miles from his home with exact information provided of what his position would be. He gets to the clients location, leaves at noon for lunch, and never came back. We reached out to him and he never responded. A week later he calls us asking if he could be placed at that same company. That took balls to do and I commend the guy for it, but the client said no. LOL
