Someone suffered because USAA didn’t know how to get to it’s Service Desk area

During covid, while everyone was working from home, a few coworkers and I, unfortunately, had to work in the office. There were 4 of us in total. While taking calls I heard a weird noise but thinking it was something due to the silence (it's a large open area), I thought nothing more of it. A coworker sitting across from me was standing and noticed that another coworker was having a seizure, the noise was him hitting the floor. Me just doing the right thing placed my customer on hold and went to help out. Luckily one of the females there was a nurse in training so she knew how to address the situation until the paramedics arrived. Luckily one of the females there was a nurse in training so she knew how to address the situation until the paramedics arrived. Here's where the title comes in: USAA is a pretty large place to navigate if you've never been on campus and getting lost without proper directions is hugely common. When we called paramedics it took them about 20 minutes to actually find us. Yes, we did give dispatch the best directions to our location, however, the actual people responsible for getting medics to us had no idea the Service Desk area existed on campus (this was coming from the paramedic himself), this person gave them the wrong directions and had to make multiple phone calls to figure out where we were. Had this been a bigger medical issue it's pretty obvious how it would've turned out. Luckily my coworker was fine and recovered fully.

Personally, for USAA this isn't the first time people couldn't find the service desk area. It's actually a common occurrence, I know this because I was a trainer in that area and trainees would always tell me how difficult it was to find the area. And these were also people who worked on campus for years. Just goes to show how lack of communication overall can be dangerous.
