“Sometimes I get the feeling you don’t want to be here”

My assistant manager to me two weeks ago after I’ve been spending weeks applying for work elsewhere. Of course all the normal rules apply, we get targets they get bonuses if we reach them. The company no longer offers full time contracts and people have been leaving and not being replaced. More work for everyone else and less pay for the privilege. Mandatory training out of town we don’t get paid for, or for the transport to. “Record profits but no raises”. So, back to me with my feigned insulted expression when the guy calls me out for how I quite rightly feel. Well today I get to tell him to his big dumb overpaid face that he was in fact right. I don’t want to be there. Never did. And come two weeks will never have to again.

New job, new city, new life incoming.

Going to work for a small independent “thing producer” (no dox for me please) who’ll pay me twice what I’m getting there, with bonuses and perks.

This is gonna be good. 🙂
