Real quick story but it has a happy ending. Back in February my long time manager, probably the best one I've ever had got fired by the new general manager. I was asked to take over her responsibilities as I was the senior employee.
I said I would try.
I tried my best but ended up getting fired in June. I applied for unemployment but was at first denied. After I filed an appeal we had a phone hearing last Friday, the second. The judge ruled in my favor and today I am getting 11 unemployment checks. Plus I'm due another 22 until I can find something better.
