sometimes you appreciate the little things

About 2 weeks ago I moved to a different department at work. It wasn’t a promotion, but it does open up doors to more expansive and better paid roles at the company and you actually interact with upper management on a daily basis, so those opportunities are more likely to come around. Instead of being stationed at different work sites around town, I now go to our main office building and pick up a company vehicle. Since I live in on the very corner edge of town, every work site was far from me and would take at least 30 minutes to get to. Some were almost 50 minutes without traffic. The main benefit I received from this is that my job is now a 12 minute drive away. I’m saving so much money on gas, and I have a little extra time to sleep in, and about an extra…
