My daughter (24yo) doesn't stand up for her own rights in her job. For instance, she was asked/ordered to skip lunch break repeatedly, and she complied each time. That's not even legal here. She was also asked twice to cancel a vacation day at the last minute, and she agreed to it. She is not happy about it, but doesn't take the step to actually protest or refuse.
On the one hand, my hands are itching to step in, and talk to her employer directly. On the other hand, she is 24 years old, and she should take her own responsibility. We have talked about that a few times already, of course.
I am also afraid that, if she doesn't want to protest now already, me talking to her employer instead might make things more difficult for her later. OTOH, she should not have to put up with bullying by her employer.
Any recommendations?
FYI; she has a services job (horeca sector)
