Start time was pushed back but no pay increase?

I was recently “promoted” to an earlier start time at 6:30 am instead of my usual 9am. My duties have changed and I haven't gotten an actual promotion yet but that's a whole different can of worms. I'm in talks with her right now for an actual promotion, but I haven't discussed retroactive pay for the three months I've worked at this earlier time. There's a second shift that comes in at 12pm and they get paid $1.50 extra. So I'm being paid entry level pay while also changing my whole day's schedule and performing extra duties. I mentioned it to her once but all she said was “Does this earlier time work better for you?” And I said “Yes, but it's not the time that I was hired for”. Then she kind of dismissed it and it was never brought up again. Im hoping to bring it up again…

Im hoping to bring it up again soon just looking for advice on how to go about it and if I'm actually justified in asking for a pay increase due to earlier start time.
