So I started a new job and it’s their busy season…
But when I interviewed we discussed 5 days of work and two days off.
I was asked if I could work an extra day here and there and we discussed my boundaries for that (no both weekend days and no 6 days in a row.)
Now I’ve got some weeks of 6 days of work (both weekend days$ and no overtime bc it’s split over two pay periods.
My biggest concern was this business disregarding the schedule we discussed
I’m not sure what to do as I’m still in my training month and I don’t want to be laid off or fired
But I’m feeling disrespected about my work life balance….
Any ideas on what I should do?
Edit: it’s also a family business so everyone is close knit.
Edit #2: we discussed working that extra day on Saturday at the end of my first week
I got my schedule for the month today which had this stuff we had discussed disregarded.
