Stop apologizing for legitimate reasons to miss work

I see so many texts here between employees and management where the employee is constantly apologizing under the pressure of management for time off work, call outs or otherwise. STOP it. If you feel like you have to apologize, do it once and hold firm. You have needs and rights as a human being and doing your managers’ job of finding coverage isn’t one of them. Let them struggle; they need to learn.
