I’m not sure why it is so hard to figure out on this sub. Stop texting them. You’re setting yourselves up for the situations that are constantly posted here. If you get a text or call during your time off, simply DO NOT answer or reply. Follow your normal work schedule and if it comes up when you get back to work, tell them that you don’t check your phone on your time off.
I’ve been doing this for years and have had zero consequences from it.
They do not own your time off. Set the expectation and stand up for yourselves.
