In my experience full time employment feels like slavery

I have worked as a tradesman in slightly different fields over the last 10 years. Welder, Metalworker, Industrial mechanic, construction etc. And i have never really hated my job, but i have allways felt that it took everything out of me, when i'd get home i'd allways be tired and depressed. If i had a whole weekend off i'd just sleep through saturday and then start functioning again on sunday. Working 8-10 hour days doesn't feel natural to me, its just enough to not feel like doing anything for the rest of the day, and too little to get anything done at work. Doing traveling jobs where you are working 12+hrs a day and just go grab a couple beers with your coworkers and go to bed in a hotel/ship cabin/whatever never bothered me as much. Even 300+ hours months, for a few months at a time goes fine, Not…

Even 300+ hours months, for a few months at a time goes fine, Not only does this lead to making easily 3-4 times what i'd do regularly, but while working you actually feel like you are accomplishing something.

Its just the perpetual nightmare that is living the same days, weeks, months, years over again without seeing any way out that i dislike, its like running on a threadmill without ever getting anywhere.

Every time you save up some money something unexpected comes up and suddenly you are at zero again.
