Strange new undocumented policy

So I work at walmart. Tonight I come into work and a few new rules were dropped on us. A policy paper was being passed around to sign. So they have a point system for attendance. If you call off a maximum of 5 times within a 6 month period, you get terminated. This was a policy that I did sign upon being hired. Tonight, they announced that if you have 4 call offs, you will be docked 1 day every week until one of your points falls off. Essentially making any full time employee part time. It doesn't affect me personally because I'm not there yet but I'm still in a huge disagreement with it. Now the policy that they passed around to have us sign was just the normal attendance policy…

Now the policy that they passed around to have us sign was just the normal attendance policy that we signed upon hire. No where did it state they we'd be losing 1 whole work day a week as punishment. Regardless, I didn't sign it. The paper they were having us sign was just a piece of notebook paper that wasnt even attached to the regular policy.

This doesn't seem to be anywhere in writing. It seems like it's something that the store manager just decided to start doing. Is this even legal? Like doesn't this affect w4s and whatnot?
