I'm a mystery mix of arabic and white, maybe middle eastern, possibly even northafrican. I really don't know and don't care to find out. But it is obvious I'm not white. I have thick eyebrows but black straight hair and light brown skin. Every single day I send out 2-3 job applications. It has been nearly 6 months since I'm out of school with good grades. How does one get a job when every single recruiter would rather pick anyone over me? I have qualifications, knowledge and quick understanding but I know that once they see my picture in CV they immediately crap whatever invitation they had in mind for me. I can say that confidently because before then I didn't have my photo in CV. I would get a phone call inviting me for an interview, with their voice being all excited and full of life. However, when they saw me they in person did 180 and it became obvious they see me as a waste of their time.
I'm trying to learn coding and once ice thaws out I will be a delivery driver. It is smooth so far. I can see myself doing regular gig work rather than being unemployed while still with my parents. Nonetheless, it is harsh truth of this world I should've realised sooner.
Anyone else in similar situation?
