After employees at my college received a measly 2.75% raise this year, an email was sent out from administration letting us know they were there for us and happy to provide resources such as:
- A food pantry
- Carpool spaces in the parking lot
- Therapy services (not free of course)
Along with this email, we were notified that our health care premiums would be increasing ~$25/month. Oh! And what else do we have to look forward to? If inflation stays where it's at til December, we might get another 1% salary increase.
When will this end? We are unionized – but for what??? I'm taking the rest of the day off…
