Stuck on night shift pt.2. Advice
I have to summarize to keep this short an readable..
- I have worked at my company for 5 years doing nights 6PM-6AM
- The other night guy works my off nights for 3 years.
- I was promised a day shift spot effective immediately upon hiring a new night shift worker.
- Then a 2nd day shift position became open.

A person was hired in July and my day start day was August. However he failed his background check and HR pulled his position.

2 new night guys were hired and my start date was sent to Sep 26th. One of them backed out.
This is where things get a little weird. My boss is Tim, and the boss of the other role being filled is othTim and John.
- John went to HR demanding that his position be filled first.
- Tim argued that I should be moved first.
- John and Tim's boss is Bob. Bob argued that I should be moved to days first.
- HR sided with John and reprimanded Tim and Bob.
- I am not going to days.
What can I do? Is it even worth it to go to HR? I almost never have to deal with them. I get good pay and PTO here and my boss (Tim) is great. I dont want to leave but I cant deep with nights any more and HR is forcing me on it.
How can I approach this ?
