To me UBI, especially if offered to social security recipients, seems like it has a higher chance to pass than loan forgiveness.
As someone without student loan debt I really wish everyone would focus on UBI instead.
My question for hard-core student loan forgiveness advocates is why not focus on a program that helps everyone? Would you accept UBI in lieu of student loan forgiveness?
For context I do realize that inflation in higher education is truly obscene and was only possible because of student loans. In a perfect world I'd want SLF and UBI
