I ended up applying for the exact same job at a competitor company that pays less. Surprisingly this company offered me more than what I currently make at my job. I took their offer letter and compiled a binder with tabs of my contributions by fiscal year, the job posting for us and the competitor showing pay range as well as the offer versus what I make. Magically the whole department is now having their pay reevaluated. I really want to tell them “okay, but I put in the hard work, so me first!”
