I work in billing and medical records for an addiction center. This lady who got kicked out for multiple reasons one of them being that she brought her dog and was leaving the dog in the car all day because she did not pay an additional pet deposit. So she lived in her car for a few days and then eventually got discharged because that's not sustainable. Now she's threatening legal action for her experience after being discharged. Now in medical records this generally isn't my problem. But my name is the same as the head legal counsel. So I get all her bullshit. So this client is saying that she will have her attorney subpoena the records she's requesting. These are phone records that do not belong in the patient chart. They do not belong to the patient they belong to the provider, but she wants them. As a patient myself I completely understand her request. However it makes me crazy that she's threatening legal action and her last email she put doctor at the beginning of her name. Because doctors live in their cars. I just needed to complain.
