Substitute teachers are being asked to cover months of teaching for less than half of what the real teachers make because teachers are quitting left and right!

I'm a very part time substitute teacher because I have other jobs and I've been getting phone calls asking me to work long term as a sub, I'm talking months and months of full time teaching (lesson planning, grading, etc.)! It's because they can't fill actual teaching jobs because they're asking WAY too much of teachers. I've talked to teachers and they said it's gotten so bad over the last few years. As a sub, I make about $15.00 an hour. Teachers in this area start at $35.00 an hour (at least that's what Indeed says for teachers here).
