Sue company for crashing in ice?

We live 40minutes from her job, she has a 2wd jeep and I have a 4wd f150, we just got a lot of ice and snow on the roads, she has a lot of PTO but her job is not allowing her to take it because many people already are off because the winter storm for tomorrow. Living in rural Kansas the only highways are 2 lanes that run across strip pits and bridges and our tiny town doesn’t even have a snow plow, a neighbor does it with a tractor.
