For reference I am am jewish, gay, and autistic.
Today a man came into our thrift store wearing a shirt with the iron cross and totenkopf(ss skill symbol) on it. When I asked a supervisor what to do about the situation he told me “Stop policing his choices, this is America, he can do what he wants and you cant stop him”. When I tried to explain to him why this was a big issue to me and how much of my family died because of the SS he told me “Stop worrying and do your job, he's allowed to do what he wants because we have free speech”. Maybe I'm overreacting but this situation has me very angry.
