Supervisor Reaction to work injury

I recently had a work injury, resulting in a visit to the emergency room and a work comp claim. Apparently my supervisor has been telling other people “He doesn’t work enough to be costing the store that much money.” My injury really wasn’t all that serious, and might’ve cost me, personally, a few hundred bucks. Meanwhile, the store I work for makes millions every year. Not really sure where I was going with this, but I guess it’s kind of an example of the relationship between workers and their supervisors? Some guy who makes $100k+ a year is worried about the minuscule hit in profits due to a tiny work injury, while the guy who makes $15/hr is out of work for 10-14 days and has to adjust how he performs day-to-day activities.
