My boss is the one who regularly interrupts others in meetings and talks over them. He has to be the loudest in the room. You probably know someone like that.
Naturally, I had this happen this morning during a call with my boss.
He starts talking about how my team didn't do something he requested. I responded with details confirming that we did what was asked. He then changed course to another subject he was displeased with regarding our team. I confirmed we were doing what he wanted and offered proof. Before I could finish, he interrupted me and talked over me.
I'm getting frustrated by this point I don't take kindly to mis-characterizing or falsely accusing my team. So the next topic he brings up I quickly correct before he finishes talking. He said I often talk over him. I let him know that he talks over almost everyone in the office.
He said, “I'm your boss.”
I've begun my job search.
