The “About Community” of r/antiwork doesn’t help the actual cause of the movement

I think we can all agree that this needs to be changed. For several weeks there have been users that have posted snide comments towards the r/antiwork movement in other subreddits. The most common thing they use to invalidate us is literally the description of the subreddit, one of the first things that you see as soon as you load in: “A subreddit for those who want to end work, are curious about ending work, want to get the most out of a work-free life” I think I can vouch for the majority of the people in the subreddit that we don't want to be “lazy” or have “things handed out for free”. Most of us just want fair working conditions, better treatment from employers, better benefits, and substantial raises that match the inflation. I think I can vouch for the majority of the people in the subreddit that we don't want to be “lazy” or have “things handed out for free”. Most of us just want fair working conditions, better treatment from employers, better benefits, and substantial raises that match the inflation.

That being said, the “About Community” does a complete disservice to the movement and what we're actually fighting for. This needs to be changed.

P.S: The “antiwork” name does a disservice as well but I don't think we can change it at this point.
