The company I work for give us an unsustainable workload and expect perfection.

I work for a hotel chain in the UK as a room attendant, and they present themselves as a happy, progressive company but the way they work you feels manipulative and exploitative. The work is physically demanding, cleaning jobs always are, but here you have an added time pressure. The software they use calculates your finish time based on how many rooms you have and which types, and they write it on your list. The result is ludicrous and unachievable without cutting lots of corners. To meet the goal you have to clean so fast and for the first few rooms it's possible, but it's not physically sustainable all day. They also have a ridiculously high standard which isn't achievable in the time given, for which we are judged. My manager told me I have to be quicker the other day. I'm exhausted everyday, I've even had to reduce my hours but I don't see myself staying there.

There's probably correct terminology for these situations but I don't know them. All I know is I'm not happy and sick of working for asshole companies.
