The 'nobody wants to work anymore' mantra is total bs.
I send my CV to a company. They are reviewing it, but even without reaching out to me for further contact or anything want me to take a 50 min. assessment.
What is funny is that I accidentally applied for another job with languages in the same company. I got another email saying that they have tried to phone but couldn't reach me -my phone is on my CV and next to me all day. 0 calls.
Also today, another company reached out to me for a job that I am perfectly capable of performing. WFH. I read it out, it says I need to be in a specific country. I reply and ask them if I could apply or not because it seems like a waste of time. They say no, send me a similar job in the country I currently reside. Open the job, I am perfectly qualified. I have to register. Ok. It turns out I have to fill in manually all the info on my CV that they already have since they were the ones reaching out to me.
The same thing happened last week. The company offers me a job. Then directs me to their site to fill in once again all the info they already have.
Needless to say, I did not waste my time. If you already have my CV, you, HR, are perfectly capable of doing a copy/paste or, here is the crazy part, create a platform that automatically extracts the info from the candidate's cv and creates a profile.
Yeah, nobody wants to have their time wasted any more.
P.S English is not my first language
