the concept of “having to pay to work” is disgusting

And I include here any variant of this. Having to pay to park to come do a job I could do from home is adding insult to injury. Asking for anything other than a style of clothing (uniforms, for example) is just plain employee abuse. Where I am right now, where driving to work is mandatory (public transport is underdeveloped), they cannot find me a parking, so for a year or two (or more who knows), I have to pay almost $10 a day for parking, because they sold their parking lot to a private firm. It's a dollar an hour pay cut. How idiotic is that? “no one wants to work” my @$$
