The Customer Is Not Always Right

When I was 14 years old my mom came home crying from her grocery store job where she worked as a cashier because a customer threw a 12 pack of coke at her because the price on the shelf was wrong. I realized that the customer is not always right. But then years later I started working in restaurants where I saw the best and worst of humanity and realized that the customer certainly is not always right. And it doesn't help that I have an uncle that likes to check on his food in the kitchen after about 20 minutes. For the last 15 months I have been writing a book called The Customer Is Not Always Right. While the book has a strong focus in the restaurant industry and talks about how psychological, sociological, and economical forces collide, it has many other unique chapters. But one of the most important chapters is the testimony section where good people share stories about a time a customer was not right. An opportunity to talk about a time the customer clearly crossed the line and their business was no longer wanted or needed.

I have entered the final stages of editing and am looking to add a few more testimonies before publication this September.

If you have a story about a time a customer was so bad and want to be in the testimony section of the book, I'd love to hear from you. I will just use your username here on Reddit. Please only comment if you wish to have your testimony used.

Thank you and I look forward to letting your voices be heard while working on this special project to hopefully educate the general public about many things they don't understand about the industry to hopefully bring upon change.
