I work on a film set, so I thought my paychecks reflected how much overtime I’ve been putting in. I know, I can be clueless sometimes.
The production accountant figured it out.
The company we’re using to hire the majority of our crew put in my day rate as $250, which is correct. And we figured out their system has been paying me $450/day.
This happened to a crew member a few weeks ago. The company ended up not paying him the next pay period to then equal how much he should have been paid.
My boss thinks the hiring company should eat it since it was their mistake. She doesn’t want me to work for free.
What should I do?
