My company hires with the “core value” of constantly growing. In the fine print of this “core value”, they claim that employees are to be subjected to bonus pay, profit sharing, and more. They also claim they do yearly and quarterly raises. None of this coincides with reality. There are no bonuses. There is no profit sharing. For our quarterly AND yearly raise, we were told to expect a 1 percent pay increase. Most of us make 15 an hour. That's an increase to 15.15 an hour. Inflation is up at least 9 percent this year. I don't know that I've ever been so insulted with a “raise”. A measly 6 dollars a week…..
