The most effective part about capitalism is….

… the guilt you feel if you don’t have anything to do. I started working for myself at the beginning of this year. I do the same thing I was doing before I just don’t let someone who literally did nothing handle the money I bring in. Since I started working for myself there are days that I don’t have anything to do and am not obligated to be available for a call or to take on work. I still feel guilt on these days. I feel like a truant child waiting for that call from mom asking why I’m not at school or a lazy office working who just scrolls through Reddit all day waiting for a call from HR saying my internet usage is stealing from the company. Capitalism is so deep in our psyche that it can make us feel shame for not participating in it for…
