I make good money and have been at a good employer now for a small while (still getting over the shell shock of former employers abuse.) But to save money to buy property my partner and myself moved into a rather cheap apartment complex. It’s currently 35 degrees here and I have watched neighbors go with buckets and get water from the main burst towards the street. I tried to tell one that it’s not safe to drink and he just looked at me. I used to live in a state that protected tenants now I don’t… but I don’t know why the managers get to go home to heat and water when 200 plus families do not have such luxury. This happened last year and I filled my truck with water from the store and just set it out front for people with a sign… I am tired, this is not what was fought for, this is not what was bleed for…. This is wrong.
