The new “pay incentive” at my job is a scam

I started working as a housekeeper recently and at the time I was hired there was just one pay incentive for good attendance which was an added 4 USD/hour. Since the busy season is coming to a close they have updated this incentive. Now, the attendance incentive is 2 USD added and a new productivity bonus. Basically, it’s based on how quickly you clean rooms. Each day they give you a set number of rooms to finish by the end of an 8 hour shift. This extra pay is anywhere from .50 cents to 1 dollar depending on the number of rooms you’re able to finish. I did the math today and the extra 50 cents I would earn based on what I’m able to complete is $4 a day. If I stay an extra half hour instead of rushing to finish by 5 I’d make an extra $9.75 a…
