I gave two weeks as a courtesy, but haven't been there the start of this work week as I'm really burnt out. I could only imagine what chaos has ensued without my presence.
Which makes me think, a system that relies on one person to carry it, is not sustainable. Yea I work like a machine but I'm a human. Who needs rest. I should never feel guilty or selfish for taking time to rest or a day off or a sick day. Whatever happens without my presence shouldn't be my concern, I don't run or own the restaurant. I just show up do the dishes (one hell of a job) and leave.
