We all agree here that businesses often take advantage of employees and that is bad. But I think there's an aspect that doesn't get enough attention but is vital to this conversation.
People in first world countries don't produce enough of their own essentials. We don't grow our own food or sew our own clothing, etc.
This means we rely on money to get our needs met. It also means that we are using basically slave labor in some cases to get basic living essentials.
In order to make a real change, this needs to change. However, it's not a change that would be easy to make. Without community support, it's extremely difficult to produce your own goods. Our societies become more and more skewed against this way of living.
