Recently, I took a week-long vacation which afforded me tremendous clarity into just how far afield I have gotten from my priorities. As a result, I am reorienting towards more meaningful self-directed work in the form of crowdfunding the purchase of local spaces and renovating them for public use. I’ve identified several opportunities here at home in Richmond, VA, and am primarily focused on two at the moment: a vacant parking lot that will soon become an outdoor plaza/garden on Cary Street downtown, and a farm in eastern Henrico County that will hopefully soon be home to a Chicago-style river walk.
